Philanthropy

At Alpha Xi Delta service is at the heart of our sisterhood. Our national philanthropic focus, The Kindly Hearts Initiative, supports children and families experiencing foster care or homelessness. Through volunteer work, fundraising, and advocacy, we aim to create lasting change and uplift those in need.Locally, we are proud to support Focus on Youth, an organization that provides specialized foster care, adoption services, and support programs for children in the greater Cincinnati area. Our partnership with Focus on Youth allows us to engage directly with our community and make a meaningful impact close to home.Some of our favorite annual events include Spike Xi Ball, a campus-wide volleyball tournament that brings students together in support of our philanthropic mission, Mac and Xi’s, a cozy comfort food fundraiser, and Letters of Love, where we write heartfelt notes to children in foster care to remind them they are seen, supported, and loved.Philanthropy is more than a tradition—it’s a reflection of who we are and what we stand for as Alpha Xi Deltas.

The Kindly Hearts Initiative
The Kindly Hearts Initiative serves as the umbrella to our national philanthropic focus of supporting children and teens experiencing foster care or homelessness. Alpha Xi Deltas across the country support two Key Impact Organizations, FosterClub and StandUp for Kids, making a national and regional difference under the umbrella of our focus. Letters of Love
All Alpha Xi Delta chapters and alumnae associations participate in Letters of Love, Alpha Xi Delta’s national letter writing fundraising campaign. Held annually during the month of November this campaign benefits Alpha Xi Delta’s two Key Impact Organizations, StandUp for Kids and FosterClub. To learn more about Letters of Love, click here.
